What We Collect

First, no personal information is required to use Weather Line.

If you sign up for email news, we must store your email to send you the news.

We use randomly generated tokens in the app to keep the forecasts for your desired locations up to date.

Ads & Analytics

Weather Line app collects anonymous statistics, such as the percentage of users who use particular features, to improve the app. We never share your email, if you signed up for our newsletter, with anyone.

Weather Line app uses the MoPub SDK to serve ads to Free users. For Supercharge (Pro) users the ad framework is not initialized at all and none of the following categories are shared with anyone. Your personalized forecast location list is private and stored only on your device. We never share your personalized forecast location list with anyone.

We share 3 categories of data (for Free users only) to serve ads:

Device data — such as cookies, screen size, IP address, unique device identifiers for advertising (Google Advertiser ID or IDFA, for example) etc.
We also collect app data, such as Bundle ID, store URL, session length, session ID.
Ad data: impression count per session, click count, finish count, total impression count.

How Information is Used

We use the information we collect to operate and improve our website, apps, and customer support.

We do not share personal information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to accomplish Weather Line’s functionality.

We may disclose your information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal requirements; to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud or abuse, violations of our policies; or to protect our rights and property.

In the future, we may sell to, buy, merge with, or partner with other businesses. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.
